'Gadar 2' teaser: Sunny Deol as Tara Singh will ‘take Lahore in dahej’

The wait is finally over for the fans of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. The teaser of their upcoming film ‘Gadar 2: Ek Prem Katha Returns’ is out and it promises to be a thrilling sequel to the 2001 blockbuster. The film is directed by Anil Sharma, who also helmed the original.

The teaser begins with a voice-over by Sunny Deol, who reprises his role as Tara Singh, a truck driver who falls in love with a Muslim girl named Sakina (Ameesha Patel) during the Partition of India. He says, “Humne apni zindagi mein bahut kuch dekha hai. Lekin humara pyaar kabhi kam nahi hua. Humara pyaar humein zinda rakhta hai.” (I have seen a lot in my life. But my love never diminished. My love keeps me alive.)

The teaser then shows glimpses of Tara Singh and Sakina’s happy family life with their son Charanjeet (Utkarsh Sharma), who is now grown up and looks like his father. However, their peace is shattered when a group of terrorists attack their home and kidnap Sakina. Tara Singh vows to rescue his wife and fight against the enemies of the nation.

The teaser also features some action-packed scenes of Sunny Deol, who is known for his dhai kilo ka haath (two-and-a-half kilogram hand). He is seen smashing cars, breaking walls and punching villains with his trademark intensity. The teaser ends with a dialogue by Sunny Deol, who says, “Ab toh sirf ek hi baat hai dimaag mein. Sakina ko wapas lana hai. Aur desh ke dushmanon ko mitana hai.” (Now there is only one thing on my mind. To bring back Sakina. And to eliminate the enemies of the nation.)
