On Sunday morning, Titan began its journey to the wreck site, which sits at a depth of 12,500ft in the Atlantic Ocean.
About an hour and 45 minutes later, the Titan lost contact with its surface ship, the Polar Prince. The Titan was equipped with a four-day emergency oxygen supply.
After an intense five-day search operation, the devastating outcome of the lost 6Titan submersible’s expedition to explore the deep-sea remains of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean has come to light. The discovery of major sections of the submersible has left no hope for the survival of the five-man crew, presumed to have met an instantaneous death when the vessel imploded.
According to a senior military official, the Navy went back and analysed acoustic data after the Titan submersible was reported missing on Sunday and found an anomaly “consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost
Titanic wreckage suffered a “catastrophic loss” consistent with the implosion of the vessel. And killed all five of them.
According to Roderick Smith cause of the incident is ” failure of pressure hull” but debris will be require for the exact happening.
When contact with Titan was lost, the submersible is believed to have been 3,500m below sea level
The US Navy gaurd clear that the bodies of the all five haven’t recovered yet. Only the wreckage of submarine has been located.
The victims of the implosion were Oceangate CEO and Titan pilot Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood from a prominent Pakistani family, British adventurer Hamish Harding, and Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
On social media, the general conversation was driven by mass amusement in the situation.the entire endeavour outwardly seems designed to go wrong. Added to that each participant paid $250,000 for the pleasure, and the irony isn’t hard to see.
