On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, unveiled a musical initiative called Parampara, which aims to celebrate the rich heritage and diversity of Indian classical music. The initiative is a tribute to her father-in-law, the late Dhirubhai Ambani, who was a passionate lover and patron of music.
Parampara will feature a series of concerts and events that will showcase the talents and traditions of various genres and styles of Indian classical music, such as Hindustani, Carnatic, Dhrupad, Khayal, Thumri, Qawwali, Sufi, Bhajan and more. The initiative will also support the preservation and promotion of the musical legacy of India by providing platforms and opportunities for young and emerging artists, as well as honouring the masters and gurus who have contributed to the musical heritage of the country.
