Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have unveiled a sneak peek of Deadpool 3, featuring them dressed in costumes that closely resemble the ones from the comic books.
Their first look has come out on Monday through social media as both Ryan and Hugh posted images on social media.
This highly anticipated collaboration showcases the two actors walking side by side, with Hugh Jackman sporting the iconic yellow Wolverine attire reminiscent of the character’s appearance in the comics.
It has been reported that after six years, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool in the third instalment, where he also serves as a co-producer and co-writer.
Set to be released on November 8, 2024, Deadpool 3 will mark the beginning of Phase Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is a continuation of the previous Deadpool films from 20th Century Fox.
The movie will also bring back Jennifer Garner as Elektra. She previously appeared as the character in Mark Steven Johnson’s 2003 film Daredevil and its 2006 spin-off Elektra, directed by Rob Bowman.
Ryan Reynolds first portrayed Deadpool in X-Men Origins Wolverine and later starred in the character’s standalone films, Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).
Similarly, Hugh Jackman debuted as Wolverine in the 2000 film X-Men and has since reprised the role in various X-Men movies namely X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), a cameo in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class (2011), The Wolverine (2013), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), and another cameo in X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) before his farewell in Logan (2017).
Now, seven years later, he will return as Wolverine in the classic yellow costume for Shawn Levy’s Deadpool 3, currently in production which is scheduled to hit theatres next year.
