Shahid Kapoor reacts to his leaked MMS with ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor; says ‘I was destroyed…’
Shahid Kapoor is one of the most popular and talented actors in Bollywood. He has given many memorable performances in films like “Jab We Met”, “Kaminey”, “Haider”, “Udta Punjab” and “Kabir Singh”. However, he also faced a lot of controversies in his personal life, especially when a video clip of him and his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan kissing went viral on the internet.
The incident happened in 2004, when Shahid and Kareena were dating and shooting for their film “Fida”. The video was allegedly recorded by a staff member of the hotel where they were staying and was leaked online. The clip created a huge uproar and affected both the actors emotionally and professionally.
In a recent interview with a leading magazine, Shahid opened up about the ordeal and how it impacted him. He said, “I was destroyed. I felt like I had no future. I felt like I had no career. I felt like I had no respect. I felt like I had no dignity. It was very hard to deal with.”
He added, “It was one of the worst phases of my life. I had to face a lot of criticism and backlash. I had to face a lot of questions and doubts. I had to face a lot of humiliation and shame. It was very difficult to cope with.”
Shahid also revealed that he did not get any support from the industry or the media at that time. He said, “Nobody stood by me. Nobody defended me. Nobody spoke for me. Nobody cared about me. I felt very alone and isolated. I felt very betrayed and hurt.”
He said that he tried to move on from the incident by focusing on his work and his family. He said, “I decided to channelize my energy into my work. I decided to prove myself as an actor. I decided to make my parents proud. I decided to rebuild my life.”
Shahid and Kareena broke up in 2007, after dating for three years. They have since moved on and married other people. Shahid is happily married to Mira Rajput, with whom he has two children, Misha and Zain. Kareena is happily married to Saif Ali Khan, with whom she has two sons, Taimur and Jeh.
