Buschman had an unpaid search warrant, and the police thought he had jumped into the refrigerator himself to hide, only to get into the hole.
A man in the United States was found dead in the freezer of a deep freeze. Investigators said in an earlier statement that he fled his home last month and jumped into the refrigerator, apparently to escape police, Sky News reported.
On June 26, 34-year-old Brandon Lee Buschman was found in the freezer in the basement of a non-residential building in Minnesota when it was discovered he was trying to hide from District police. Bushman, who had a warrant for his arrest, is believed to have jumped into the freezer to hide, but was trapped.
An autopsy revealed no injuries or damage to his body. Police said it hadn’t been turned on when they found his body, as the house hadn’t had electricity since last April.
Officials also said the building itself has been vacant since February.
According to the news, Mr. The trunk of the Bushman is an older model and cannot be opened from the inside. The description says “Fridge cannot be pushed from inside when closed”.
Further investigation revealed that a metal rod inserted from the inside of the refrigerator was causing the problem when it failed to open the latch mechanism.
Now, as Sky News reports, investigators are working to narrow down the exact date when Mr. Bushman was last alive.
They are still waiting for the final decision report on toxicology. The police did not say what crime Mr. Bushman wanted
Evidence, the release states, “indicates that Buschman entered the freezer on his own accord.”
The final autopsy reports will be released in several weeks, police said.
