Supermodel Gigi Hadid recently took to Instagram to share a few bikini pics, and fans were quick to notice a new addition to her body art: a large dragon tattoo on her hip. The tattoo is black and intricate, and it features a long, winding tail and sharp talons. Hadid captioned the post with a simple “mornin!” and a dragon emoji.
It’s unclear if the tattoo is permanent or temporary, but Hadid did share a closer look at it on her Instagram Stories, where she reposted a photo from friend and multi-media artist Alana O’Herlihy. In the photo, Hadid is seen lying on her side, and the tattoo is clearly visible. O’Herlihy captioned the photo with “am I in my girl w the dragon tattoo era?!”
Whether or not the tattoo is permanent, it’s clear that Hadid is having fun with it. She’s been wearing it in a variety of bikinis, and she’s even posed for a few photos with her daughter, Khai, who seems to be a fan of the new ink.
Fans are loving the tattoo, and they’re already starting to come up with creative nicknames for it. Some have called it the “Khaleesi tattoo” (a reference to Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones), while others have dubbed it the “Mother of Dragons tattoo.”
Only time will tell if the tattoo is permanent, but for now, it’s clear that Gigi Hadid is enjoying her new dragon tattoo.
