Actor Paul Reubens, best known for playing Pee Wee Herman, has died at age 70 after battling cancer.
Actor Paul Reubens, who plays Pee-wee Herman, the geek in a gray shirt and red bow tie, shared on his exclusive Instagram account, which is a happy laugh for kids and adults alike.
Rubens apologized for not making public his six-year battle with cancer in a letter to fans before his death.
“I always have the love and respect of my friends, fans and supporters,” he wrote. “I love you so much and enjoy performing for you.”

Rubens’ career crashed in 1991 when he was arrested for immorality in adult films. He went in defenseless and did 75 hours of community service.
In 2004, Rubens pleaded guilty to possession of obscene material in Los Angeles.
He was sentenced to three years in prison. As part of the settlement, prosecutors agreed to drop a second child pornography charge. The actor said that photos of the crime scene are part of his art collection.
Rubens was born Paul Rubensfeld in 1952 in Peekskill, New York. He began his career as improvisational comedian an stage actor in the 1970s for the Los Angeles theater company The Groundlings.
In 1982, Rubens starred in Los Angeles’ popular stage play The Pee-wee Herman Show. Character is what he creates.
In 1986, the Saturday morning television show Pee-wee’s Playhouse premiered and began Reuben’s career, which included two films as Pee-wee Herman.
