On Wednesday, Prime Video released a documentary about singer-rapper AP Dhillon called “AP Dhillon: First Of A Kind.” The release date is Aug. 18, 2023.
The musician, whose full name is Amritpal Singh Dhillon, is known for his hits like ‘Brown Munde’, ‘Excuses’ and many more .
This eponymous Amazon Original series follows an Indian-Canadian musician from Punjab, Gurdaspur from his humble beginnings to his rise in the music industry and collaborated with Run-Up Records (Canadian record label) who popularized their hit song Dhillon global icon.

This film will combine Dillon’s personal experiences with interviews with his family and friends from his perspective.
Prime Video India Originals Head Aparna Purohit said that with this series, they stepped into the world of Punjabi hip-hop.
“Success and success stories always appeal to audiences, and AP Dhillon’s personal journey to superstardom is fun and inspiring.” It’s a film about the history of the biggest facet of the music’s zeitgeist,” Purohit said in a statement.
Foster said they hope the film will inspire young people.
AP Dhillon is an icon of our time and a legend in the making. “It is a story of friendship and brotherhood and following the creative path, whatever the cost.”
Erik Barmack, Executive Producer of Wild Sheep Content, added that they are excited about solving Dillon’s mystery and his journey to the series that has resonated with audiences worldwide.

The documentary series will premiere on August 18 in India and in over 240 countries around the world.
