Manila, Philippines – Miss Supranational first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx has appealed to her supporters to be kind to Miss Ecuador Andrea Aguilera, who was crowned the winner of the 2023 pageant.
Amelinckx, who is from the Philippines, was a crowd favorite throughout the competition and many fans were disappointed when she did not win the crown. However, Amelinckx has asked her supporters to respect the judges’ decision and to not send hate to Aguilera.
“I know that many of you are disappointed with the results, but I would like to ask you to please be kind to Miss Ecuador,” Amelinckx said in a statement. “She is a beautiful and talented woman, and she deserves our respect. Let’s celebrate her win and show her our support.”
Amelinckx’s appeal comes after some of her supporters took to social media to express their anger and disappointment with the results. Some fans even sent hateful messages to Aguilera.
Amelinckx has said that she is disappointed with the way some of her supporters have behaved, and she has urged them to be more respectful.
“I know that you are passionate about me and about Miss Supranational, but I would like to ask you to please be kind,” Amelinckx said. “We can celebrate my achievement without sending hate to anyone.”
Amelinckx’s appeal has been met with support from many people, including Miss Supranational Organization CEO Gerhard Parzutka von Lipinski.
“I want to thank Pauline for her kind words,” von Lipinski said. “She is a true ambassador of Miss Supranational, and she is an inspiration to us all. I hope that her fans will follow her lead and be kind to Miss Ecuador.”
