‘Brothers’ movie review and box-office collections predictions

One of the most awaited Hindi action movies of the year 2015 – “Brothers”– starring Akshay Kumar, Siddharth Malhotra, and Jacqueline Fernandez was released in India and across the world on August 14, 2015.

The film is directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar. It is the official remake of the English sports drama – “Warrior“.

It is a full-action-packed and emotional movie that has a very different plot and the story revolves around two brothers.

The expectations from the film are huge as we can see Akshay Kumar coming with one of the biggest production houses- Dharma Productions along with Lionsgate Films and Endemol India. The music of the movie is out and is getting wonderful responses from listeners.

The movie is expected to rock in the opening weekend as Independence Day falls this Saturday. We have done the Box Office Predictions of this movie at our end.

Movie analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the first days’ collection of “Brothers” was Rs 15.2 crores.

Budget: Approximately Rs 90 crore

Screen Count: “Brothers” is expected to release on around 3500 screens.

First Day Collection: As this movie is being released on Independence Day eve, a huge crowd is expected from the evening. 100% occupancy is anticipated with the first-day collection as 25-30 crore net.

First Weekend Collection: The bumper opening is expected on the first weekend (Friday-Sunday) at Box Office with an approximate business of over Rs 60 crores net.

Online advance ticketing of “Brothers” had already started in metro cities from 9th August. In all other cities, tickets were available from Wednesday.
