Asia Cup 2023: Full List of Squads Announced So Far

The 2023 Asia Cup is scheduled to be the 15th edition of the Asia Cup, the quadrennial international cricket tournament contested by the men’s national teams of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). It will be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30, 2023, to September 17, 2023.

Hosts Pakistan and the young Nepal team will play the first match on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

The tournament will feature six teams: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. They will be divided into two groups of three, each playing the other two teams in their group once. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, with the winners of the semi-finals meeting in the final.

India has refused to tour Pakistan due to strained relations between the two countries. As a result, the ACC has accepted Pakistan’s hybrid proposal for staging the Asia Cup. Pakistan will host four games, and the remaining nine will be played in Sri Lanka.

Asia Cup 2023 Commentators

The fixtures for the Asia Cup 2023 have been announced. The tournament will commence with an opening match between Pakistan and Nepal on 30 August in Multan. The final will be played in Colombo on 17 September.

The much anticipated India vs Pakistan encounter has been scheduled for 2 September in Karachi. This will be the first time that the two teams will meet in a bilateral series since 2019.
