Netflix has announced “A Child of Fire,” the first movie of Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic “Rebel Moon”, which will be released on December 22, 2023.
His second movie “The scargiver” will be released on December 22, 2023. It hits theaters on April 19, 2024.
The film tells the story of a mysterious young woman (Sofia Boutella) who is forced to seek soldiers who can resist the attacks of the despotic president, Regent Balisarius (Fra Free).
Plot:
When a peaceful region on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the power of a dictator, Cora (Boutella), a stranger living among the villagers, becomes their biggest challenge in survival.
Hope, Trying to find a trained soldier who will unite against Mother Earth in an impossible way.
Cora assembles a small group of soldiers: aliens, rebels, farmers and war orphans from different worlds, all seeking salvation and revenge.
When the shadow of an entire kingdom hangs over an unexpected moon, a battle for the fate of the galaxy begins, and a new army of heroes is born in the process.

Snyder originally created the project to promote stories from the “Star Wars” universe that preceded Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in 2012.
While working on the 2021 Netflix movie “Death Soldier”, he started turning the sci-fi movie into an original project and plans to turn “Rebel Moon” into an online movie.
Snyder said the project was inspired by his love of Star Wars and Kurosawa’s movies.
