The public response from theatres
Ayushmann Khurrana once again proves that there is nothing he can’t do with “Dream Girl 2”.
“Dream Girl 2 is no exception. Four years later, Ayushman returned to the remote area of Khurana’s movie. Like his first movie, “Dream Girl,” 2019.
This movie does not give the audience the charm of the comedy they were waiting for. It’s a lot of disappointing and not working jokes; the comedy is cringe for some netizens.
“Dream Girl 2”, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, asks you not only to let go of your brains but also to use nothing. What should be a respectful film about the hardships of being a woman (and there’s a line in the movie that acknowledges that) turns into an epic comedy where women continue to be shamed.
But the interesting thing is that Ayushman Khurrana is not just the female voice on the phone this time. In three songs, he plays a woman in most movies and dances in saris, dresses, and other traditional attire.
Although some situations are different, he deftly walks the line between frivolity and humor; the pace is too slow, and the jokes are starting to fail, worse than a fly making a quick vegetable salad from the counter.
The climax is a huge shock, and the way it ends is challenging and breathtaking. There are details about Puja’s life and why he likes it; so the movie starts to go astray when the premise is ambiguous.
“Dream Girl 2” would have been a difficult task without the support of veteran players such as Seema Pahwa, Paresh Rawal, and Annu Kapoor.
Overall, the whole experience of watching Pooja get caught in some fun situations in her own reality was pretty fun. The jokes and jokes (which Gadar 2 and BTS use) are witty, and some are hilarious.
Ayushmann is the reason you watch this movie for the first time, and it doesn’t disappoint.
