The show premiered with 913,000 viewers; that was 17% less than the other HBO series, Euphoria, which premiered in 2019. It was yet another teen drama created by Levinson, who debuted with fewer stars.

However, that number increased to 3.6 million viewers after the first week of the episode and is now at 7 million. On the first night of the second episode, the number of views dropped to 800,000.

HBO declined to share ratings data for the rest of the series.
