“Friday Night Plan” an Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Vatsal Neelakantan, will release across India on September 1, 2023.
Produced by Excel Entertainment, the film stars Juhi Chawla, Babil Khan, Aadhya Anand, Ninad Kamat, Ria Chaudhary, Aditya Jain, and Medha Rana.
Plot
The film follows the story of a young boy named Kabir (Babil Khan) who is about to experience his first “Friday night plan”. His mother (Juhi Chawla) is away for the night, and he is left in charge of his younger brother.
Kabir is excited to have some freedom finally, but he soon realizes that things are not as easy as he thought. He has to deal with his brother’s tantrums, his own hormones, and the temptation of a wild party.
The film is inspired by and pays tribute to the cult films Ferris Bueller’s “Day Off,” “Project X,” and “Superbad.” It is a coming-of-age story that explores the themes of friendship, family, and growing up.
The trailer for the film was released on August 21, 2023. It has received positive reviews from critics, who have praised the film’s humor, heart, and performances.
