Fans react

The player’s fans also called out those who spread fake news about his death.

“Please double-check the news before posting it, especially if it contains a death. Don’t post false information that could cause fear or confusion,” wrote one user on Twitter or X.

Please don’t believe the rumors read another tweet. Rumors of Divya’s death may have surfaced because he shared the same name as Spandana, the wife of Kannada actor and director Vijay Raghavendra, who died in Bangkok last month.
