‘Chandramukhi 2’ Public Review: Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut deliver a spine-chilling and hilarious ride

Tamil movie “Chandramukhi 2” the long-awaited sequel to the 2005 blockbuster “Chandramukhi,” releases on September 28, 2023.

The horror comedy film was directed by P. Vasu and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the banner of Sun Pictures.

The film stars Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Vadivelu, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, and Shruti Dange.

The original movie starred Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. R. D. Rajasekhar’s visuals take center stage in this film, with Anthony’s editing ensuring that the action sequences are as smooth as silk.

Plot

“Chandramukhi 2” is set 17 years after the first film’s events, and it revolves around the Vettaiyan Raja’s palace, which is now occupied by a greedy businessman named Murugesan. He has taken over the castle and turned it into a money-making venture. However, he is unaware of the dark history and the curse that haunts the palace.

A new family moves into the palace, hoping to start a new life. They are unaware of the danger that lurks in the shadows. The priest who performed the exorcism in the first part warns them not to go to the west side of the house, where Chandramukhi’s spirit was sealed away. But curiosity improves, and they open the door that unleashes Chandramukhi’s wrath.

The movie follows the family’s terrifying ordeal as they are tormented by Chandramukhi, who possesses the three women and makes them do horrible things. The film also reveals the backstory of Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja and how their tragic love story led to their doom.

Audience response
