This ideology manifested especially during my time at Apple, where a renegade band of engineers banded together with the attitude of us against the world.” Secondly, the ability to dance with uncertainty. We always think we can control the environment through planning, but it’s more complex than that. A viewpoint that I always hold is to be prepared for anything is critical, but staying alert, curious and observant when things happen gives a sense of power in retaining control. And thirdly, authenticity. Being true to oneself, being true to all others. A motto that he holds true to himself, wherever and whenever. When one is authentic, one’s role, work and result will all manifest in the grand scheme of things.

Starting as a researcher in one of Asia’s top universities, the cross into the private sector is nothing short of a radical change in mindset and behaviour.
