‘Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom’ Plot And Problems
Black Manta, fueled by his seated rage after the loss of his father, seeks to avenge himself against Aquaman. Empowered by the forces residing within the Black Trident he now possesses strength.
In this situation Aquaman finds himself compelled to seek aid from his estranged brother Orm, ruler of Atlantis. Their collaboration becomes crucial as they strive to protect both Atlantis and Aquaman’s family from annihilation.
Jason Momoa is back as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, and he’s bringing something new to the role. Patrick Wilson is also back as Orm, Arthur’s half-brother. Amber Heard plays Mera, the Queen of Atlantis.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, who is out to get revenge for his father’s death by going after Aquaman, his family, and Atlantis. Nicole Kidman is Atlanna, a strong leader. Dolph Lundgren plays King Nereus, and Randall Park is Dr. Stephen Shin.
Calls for Amber Heard to be dropped from Aquaman 2 due to her court case with Johnny Depp have been loud and clear. Her presence in the latest trailer was non-existent, and even in the initial teaser, her role was minimal.
Director James Wan has announced that Amber Heard’s character will have a role in the sequel compared to the film. He clarified that this decision has nothing to do with her issues. Rather stems from a creative choice to highlight the “bromance” between Aquaman and Orm, in this follow up installment.
