China’s tech giant Xiaomi released its much-awaited flagship phone Mi 5, at 2:00 p.m. India time on March 03, 2016.
The first sale of this device, which was unveiled at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain, started on March 01, 2016 Tuesday, in China.
Mi 5 has caught the attention of gadget lovers and Xiaomi fans alike owing to its powerful specifications and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
The company claims that the Mi 5 has received a whooping response from 14.4 million registrations in just five days after pre-orders were announced on February 24, 2016.
It has reasonable pricing, good specifications, and its ‘look’ are reasons for such a good response.
Mi 5 comes in three models; 64 GB model with a price tag of Rs. 24,111, 32 GB model has Rs.20,965, and Mi 5 Pro has a price tag of Rs. 28,307.
Talking of the specifications, Mi 5 boasts of a 5.15 inch full HD screen having a pixel resolution of 1,920×1,080. It also carries a fingerprint sensor and a home button.

Running on the platform Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI v7.0, the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 3GB for 32GB/64GB variants and 4GB RAM for 128GB variant.
The phone sports a 6MP Sony IMX298 main camera on the camera front and a 4MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. Fuelled by a 3,00mAh battery, the handset supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

Talking about connectivity options, the phone includes WLAN, Bluetooth, Infrared, Radio, USB, etc. You can avail of the phone in Ceramic, Gold, White, and Black color options.
