Famous Tamil TV star Sai Prashanth committed suicide at his residence in Chennai on Sunday, March 13, 2016.
Prashanth mixed poison in his drink and drank it. He was found read at his residence at Ganga Nagar 2nd Street. His body was taken to the Kilapuk Medical College for post-mortem.
The reason behind the suicide is not yet known. The Police suspect this could be a case of loneliness and depression. The investigation is going on.
Prashanth’s parents are on the way to Chennai. His mother Lalitha is a ex-vice-president of the BJP State unit. She was also a member of the Tamilnadu Censor Board.
After giving divorce to his first wife, Prashanth had married again just three-month back.
Many of the South Indian TV and movie stars took to Twiter and offered condolence.
His relatives, friends, fans and celebrities visited his house to pay their final respects to the departed soul. The funeral will be held in Chennai on Monday.

Prashant had become a household name by acting memorable in TV serials like ‘Selvi’, ‘Annamalai’ and ‘Arasi’. He also featured in some Tamil movies like “Neram” and “Thegidi”.
