According to sources close to Swift, the singer is “horrified” and “outraged” by the existence of these videos, which depict her in various compromising and explicit scenarios. Some of these videos have been circulating online for months, attracting millions of views and comments.
Swift’s team has been working hard to identify and remove these videos from various platforms, but they face many challenges and limitations in doing so.
Swift is not the first nor the last celebrity to face this problem. Other famous figures such as Jennifer Lawrence, Scarlett Johansson, Emma Watson, Barack Obama, and Tom Cruise have also been victims of deepfake technology.
Swift’s fans have expressed their support and solidarity with the singer, launching online campaigns and petitions to demand justice and action from the authorities and the tech companies.
They have also urged other fans to report and flag any deepfake videos they encounter online. Swift has not yet made any official statement on the matter, but she is expected to do so soon.
