Veteran actor Shabana Azmi recently revealed that her niece Tabu, who is also an acclaimed actor, often teases her about her kiss to veteran actor Dharmendra in “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.”
The film, directed by Karan Johar, features Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra as a couple who rekindle their romance in their old age. The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the titular characters.
In an interview with a leading daily, Shabana Azmi said that Tabu was amused by the idea of her aunt sharing a kissing scene with Dharmendra on screen. She said, “Tabu is my niece and she keeps teasing me. She says, ‘Chachi, you are going to kiss Dharamji?’ I say, ‘Yes, why not? He is so handsome.’ She says, ‘Chachi, how can you do this?’ I say, ‘What do you mean? We are actors and this is part of our job.'”

Shabana Azmi said, “Tabu, jo meri niece hai, itni shaitan hai. Vo kehti hai aapne hila ke rakh diya industry. Ab sab aapki age ki ladkiyaan keh rahi hai ke kiss hogi toh hum karenge (Tabu is so naughty, she teases me that I created a huge stir within the industry. She says now all the actresses of my age are saying they would do a film if there’s a kissing scene in it).”
Shabana Azmi also praised Dharmendra for his professionalism and charm. She said that he was very respectful and courteous towards her and made her feel comfortable on the sets. She said that they had a lot of fun shooting for the film and that she was looking forward to its release.
