Besides the Bigg Boss 17 trophy, Munawar Faruqui also took home a swanky new car and a grand cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. The comedian was overwhelmed with joy when he was announced as the winner of Salman Khan’s show. His mother and sister had also come on the show to support him during the finale episode.
Following Munawar’s victory, some social media users made serious allegations and claimed that the comedian’s win was ‘fixed’.
In an interview with The Economic Times Munawar reacted to the allegations when he said, “Yaar fixed winner ko itna sab go through karna pade toh it can’t be a fixed winner. If I had been a fixed winner, I would have got everything on a platter. I’ve got nothing on a platter, I’ve worked hard and a lot. My answer to people who are calling me a fixed winner is just sit and watch the entire season and you will realise that it wasn’t fixed.”
