In a previous statement, Rinku Singh revealed that he had urged his father to take a break from the physically demanding job, considering his success in cricket. However, Khanchandra Singh remains dedicated to his work, with Rinku expressing understanding of his father’s desire to stay active.
“I told my father to relax now as we have enough for him not to haul cylinders, but he still does it and loves his job,” he was quoted by Free Press Journal as saying. The cricketer added, “If someone has worked all his life, it is difficult to tell him to stop unless he wants it.”
The video, which went viral, saw a lot of user comments, some of whom praised the cricketer’s father for going about his life normally despite his son’s rise to fame.
“This is his foundation and will keep him in better physical and mental health. It’s hard to stop if he doesn’t want to, despite the wealth,” one user wrote.
