Jeetendra Kapoor received the Maharashtrian of the Year award on Thursday, February 15. The event also honoured Ranbir Kapoor for his work in the field of Hindi cinema. Post the star-studded event, the ‘Animal’ actor was seen helping Jeetendra as they get mobbed by the cameramen.
A video of the same was also shared by several paparazzi accounts. On Thursday, Ranbir Kapoor made sure Jeetendra was not harmed and reached his car safely. After the latter was safe, he planted a kiss on Ranbir’s cheek and lauded him for his actions. He also seemed to congratulate him on his win. Jeetendra said, “You’ve done a wonderful job. So beautiful, lovely, keep it up. “Jai Mata Di”, before he asked the security team to escort Ranbir to his car.

Meanwhile, Jeetendra gave the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Best Actor award to Ranbir at the event and shared that he struggled to write the speech. He said that his wife, Shobha Ektaa, and Tusshar helped him write it.
While giving the award to Ranbir, Jeetendra stated, “You’re giving this award to Ranbir, who is my very dear friend Rishi Kapoor’s son. So, I’ve been preparing from yesterday what I should be saying here. My wife, my daughter, and my son were guiding me. Anyway, I would like to say that I am very happy that this award is going to my dearest friend Rishi’s son. Today, Ranbir has reached this stage because of his own hard work.”

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in the blockbuster “Animal.”. He will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s “Ramayan.”
He will play the role of Ram, while Sai Pallavi will reportedly essay the role of Sita. The rest of the cast and more details about the film is yet to be announced. Apart from that, Ranbir also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War’ and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal Park’ in the pipeline.
