The pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have begun with a traditional ‘Lagan Lakhvanu’ ceremony in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The ceremony, which took place on February 16, 2024, marks the beginning of the wedding preparations.
‘Lagan Lakhvanu’ is a traditional Gujarati ceremony where the first official wedding invitation, called ‘Kankotri,’ is created. The invitation is then offered to God, seeking blessings for the upcoming union.
The ceremony was held at the Ambani family’s sprawling farmhouse in Jamnagar. Their close family and friends joined Anant and Radhika.
For the ceremony, Radhika looked stunning in a pastel-blue lehenga designed by Anamika Khanna. She accessorized her look with a regal maangtikka, necklace, and earrings.
On the other hand, Anant looked dapper in a white kurta-pyjama and Nehru jacket.
The ‘Lagan Lakhvanu’ ceremony was followed by a ‘Mehendi’ ceremony on February 17.
The ‘Mehendi’ ceremony is a traditional pre-wedding ritual where the bride and her friends have henna applied to their hands.
The pre-wedding festivities will culminate in the wedding ceremony, which is scheduled to take place later this year.
