Watch: Aishwarya Rai releases trailer video of ‘Sarabjit’

Former Miss World and Indian actress Aishwarya Rai, actor Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha unveiled the first look trailer video of the much-awaited Hindi movie “Sarbjit”.

The story is based on the real-life story of Indian farmer Sarbjit Singh who went into Pakistan territory in a drunker state.

The trailer was released on Thursday, April 14 in Mumbai.

Aishwarya looked like a Barbie doll dressed in Pink. She got emotional during the trailer release as it was evident as she spoke.

The film is based on the life of Sarabjit, (Hooda) who was convicted in Pakistan on charges of terrorism and spying.

He was sentenced to death by Pakistan courts, but he was mysteriously murdered in jail by fellow prisoners.

Aishwarya Rai plays the role of Sarabjit’s sister who fights for his release. She goes from pole to pillar from local police to the politicians in the Indian Parliament.

She also succeeds in meeting her brother at the Pakistani jail, who narrates his story on how he was tortured and treated in the most inhuman way.

The movie is scheduled to be released on May 20, 2016.

Aishwarya Rai’s comeback film “Jazbaa” released last year was a miserable flop. But her fans are waiting to see her more in films. It will be interesting to see how this movie fares.
