The controversial Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman sex scene in “Miller’s Girls” caused a sea change in Hollywood.
According to Deadline, in the wake of what happened during the filming, SAG-AFTRA tightened its standards and procedures for the use of corporate partners, especially regarding privacy.
“PR officials must keep the actor’s work and experience confidential during filming unless the actor gives permission to share that information with the public,” a SAG-AFTRA spokesperson told Deadline. If they do not meet the standards set by SAG-AFTRA, they will be removed from the list after a review.
Miller’s Girl features a sex scene between 21-year-old Ortega and 52-year-old Martin Freeman. The scene came under intense scrutiny because the 31-year-old actor was different from the actors.

Cristina Arjona, the public relations officer of the film, evaluated the situation in an interview with the Daily Mail. “Throughout the whole process, there are a lot of people looking out for (Ortega) to make sure he does what he wants, that he is committed, that he knows exactly what he wants to do.”
“A Horner also told the Daily Mail: “It’s part of my job to support his (Ortega’s) decision. I change according to the comfort of the actors, especially in a production like this where there is an age difference in the actors.”
The PR Manager’s comments on the situation help stimulate discussion about it. Neither Jenna Ortega nor Martin Freeman commented on the matter. Arjona has reportedly signed a confidentiality agreement as well as a confidentiality agreement with Lionsgate.
Now SAG-AFTRA has created rules to ensure that other unions cannot discuss certain issues Arjona discusses without risking them being leaked.
Removed from the guild. SAG-AFTRA said that according to its standards and procedures, “publicly disclosing details of an actor’s performance or relying on a social worker without the actors’ consent is unacceptable.”
