Emma’s shout-out to her daughter Louise
While accepting the award for the Best Actress at the 96th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night, Emma delivered a heartfelt speech. In her Oscars 2024 acceptance speech, she thanked her husband Dave McCary and gave a shout-out to her daughter Louise.
“I just want to thank my family — my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave. I love you so much. And most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be three in three days, who has turned our lives Technicolor,” Stone, 35, said as tears welled up in her eyes.
She added, “I love you bigger than the whole sky my girl, so thank you so much.”
An Oops moment for the Oscar-winning actress!
Emma suffered from a wardrobe malfunction while accepting the award for Best Actress at the 96th Academy Awards on Sunday. Emma wore a Louis Vuitton strapless gown and the zipper at the back of her dress got busted.
The actress said to the audience – “My dress is broken; I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken,” referring to Ryan Gosling’s performance of his “Barbie” hit earlier in the show.
“The other night I was panicking, as you can kind of see happens a lot, that maybe something like this could happen,” she added before delivering her acceptance speech for Oscars 2024.
Before the zipper incident, the actress was seen in a mint green colored gown. According to E! News correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi, the color was chosen keeping in mind the “sorbet theme” of her costumes in “Poor Things” and her looks at this year’s Golden Globes and the SAG Awards.
Thankfully, Emma’s 30-carat yellow diamond choker remained in place, adding a charm to her outfit.
