Helmed by Yata Satyanaraya, ‘Razakar’ hit the theatres on March 15, 2024.  The film depicts the atrocities that were faced by the Hindus in Hyderabad when it was under the control of Nizam. The story is a brutal depiction of the genocide that occurred.

Plot of ‘Razakar’

After India gained independence from the British Raj in 1947, the princely state of Hyderabad was hugely controlled by the Nizam Of Hyderabad – Mir Osman Ali Khan. The state of Hyderabad was ruled by a paramilitary army force named Razakars.

Razakars were formed by Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and controlled by Qasim Razvi. Qasim Razvi extended his hand of support to the Nizam of Hyderabad and together, they began to instill fear amongst the Hindus with their acts of barbarity. What happens next is what the whole film is about.

Razakar depicted the brutal genocide that took place during the time with sincerity and honesty. The scenes depicting the heinous acts of the Muslims against the Hindus and forceful conversions are depicted in a brutally honest manner without any shyness and are spine-chilling moments for the audience. If you are sensitive to watching disturbing scenes, this movie is not for you as it will send chills down your spine.

Casting and Crew of ‘Razakar’

The movie stars Raj Arjun, Markand Deshpande, Bobby Simha, Anasuya, Vedhika, Tej Sapru, Indraja, and Thalaivasal Vijay in lead roles.

Bheems Ceciroleo has done a great job with the music in the film. The music complimented the scenes and was impactful. The cinematographer for the film Ramesh Kushendar has done a great job portraying the victims of the exodus.
