Viral Video Alleges Fan Thrashed for Hugging RCB Star Mid-Match

Virat Kohli was attacked by stadium staff after fans breached security to meet him.

A video of a fan being beaten by security guards went viral on social media. Social media users claimed that a fan in a video was seen touching Virat Kohli’s foot and pushing him to the ground during Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kings XI Punjab on Monday. The fan broke security to confront Kohli on the field and was lifted from the ground. Now, a video shows him being beaten by security guards at the stadium.

In the video, security guards are seen mistreating the fans. However, it is not yet clear whether they are the same fans or not.

According to Indiatoday, In terms of the game, Kohli has achieved a unique record in the game. The opener completed his 100th T20 fifty-over, becoming the first and only Indian player to achieve the feat. In this match, the 35-year-old was back to his best after a disappointing performance against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He scored 77 runs in 49 balls with 11 fours and two sixes.
