Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma did not lift his bat in celebration as he realized that his 100 was not enough to help his team beat CSK.
In an intense Indian Premier League (IPL) match, Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, April 14. Like almost every meeting between the two most successful teams in the history of the competition, it was a matchup. However, the Yellow Men had the last laugh as they beat MI by 20 points. Just give the last ball.
Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma showed his class as he hit his second IPL hundred. However, his game went in vain and Mumbai suffered a miserable defeat. The batsman reached the milestone with 61 deliveries, remaining unbeaten on 105 off 63 balls. However, chasing 207 for victory, MI could only reach 186/6.
Timesofindia reported, The hard part is that he didn’t raise his stick to celebrate his personal best. All Rohit did after passing three draws was shake hands with his non-striking partner Mohammad Nabi. The video of Rohit entering the top 100 went viral on social media.
