Khagen Murmu was controversial in his campaign video, where he kissed a woman on the cheek. Trinamool released screenshots of the viral video accusing the BJP leader of assaulting women.

There is nothing wrong,” she said. Mr. Murmu, a former CPM MLA who joined the BJP in 2019, also defended his actions, saying the woman was like his “own child.”
Economic times reported, The incident occurred on Monday when Mr. Murmu was campaigning in the Maldaha North constituency. Trinamool, led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, also accused BJP politicians of targeting women.

She also threatened to file a cybercrime case against Trinamool.
