The fourth T20 match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The fifth and final T20 will be played on April 27.
The match start time is 7:30 PM Pakistan time.
After three matches, both teams are tied 1-1, with the first match abandoned due to rain. All the previous matches were played at Rawalpindi, and the next two games will be played at the much batting-friendly Lahore pitch.
Pakistan Team Overview:
Pakistan leads the head-to-head record against New Zealand with 17 wins to New Zealand’s 11. They have faced each other 28 times in T20 Internationals.
Pakistan will be looking to bounce back after their previous defeat. They had a solid start in the last match, with four players crossing the 30-run mark, but none could convert it into a big score. The bowling attack will need to step up after failing to defend 178 runs on a batter-friendly pitch.
Pakistan’s batters Fakhar Zaman, Haseebullah Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Irfan Khan, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan, Usama Mir, and Usman Khan need to bat responsibly and ensure a win for their country.
New Zealand Team Overview
New Zealand’s confidence will be high after their victory in the 3rd T20I, where they easily chased down the target, thanks to a blistering, unbeaten 87 from 42 balls by M. Chapman, who was also named the Player of the Match.
Just ahead of the start of the series, New Zealand suffered setbacks as opener Finn Allen sustained a back injury, and pacer Adam Milne was ruled out due to an ankle injury. Wicketkeeper Tom Blundell and uncapped all-rounder Zak Foulkes were named replacements in the squad.
