‘Oru Nodi’ Tamil film review; Taman Kumar shines in a nail biting whodunit

‘Oru Nodi’ is an upcoming Tamil language crime thriller. The film stars Taman Kumar and MS Bhaskar in key roles and is a directorial work of B Manivarman.
The trailer for the film has been released and has created quite the hype amongst the audience. The trailer begins with the narrative “Decisions taken in a split second can change one’s life forever.” The film is slated to release in theatres on April 26, 2024. The film will clash with Vishal Hari’s highly anticipated movie ‘Rathnam’.

The trailer for ‘Oru Nodi’ shows actor Taman Kumar in the role of a cop. He is investigating a case whose lead has gone off the tracks. The missing person as seen in the trailer is the husband of a middle-aged woman who comes to the police station to seek help. While pursuing the case, the character of Taman finds its way into shady land deals and even shadier murders. The teaser for ‘Oru Nodi’ deftly uses the ‘accidental discovery trope’ like any other investigative crime thriller.

The film also stars Vela Ramamoorthy, Pala. Karuppiah, Deepa Shankar, Sri Ranjini and Guru Surya in key roles. The music for the film is composed by Sanjay Manickam, while the cinematography is taken care of by KG Ratheesh. The person who is behind the rhythm of the film ‘Oru Nodi’ is editor S Guru Suriya.

‘Oru Nodi’ title track

The makers of ‘Oru Nodi’ released a lyrical video which is the title track for the film. Varun Chandrasekar and Sanjay Manickam have lent their voice to the title track of ‘Oru Nodi.’


The song was composed by Sanjay Manickam and includes flute music by RS Vikram and electric guitar chords by Nikhil Sridharan. The project also features lyricists Sivasankar and Jegan Kaviraj.
