The 16 episodes of the Korean drama “Queen of Tears” will air its final two episodes on April 27 and 28, and fans can’t help but be disappointed to bid farewell to their beloved on-screen couple. But, good news awaits them as there will be an additional two special episodes that will be aired later.

After the premiere of episodes 15 and 16 on April 26 and 27, the two special episodes will be aired on May 4 and May 5. The 14th episode of ‘Queen of Tears’ garnered the highest average nationwide rating of 21.625%.

According to the South Korean publication Star News, the specials would be released “to soothe the disappointment”, hinting that the show might have a bitter ending. ‘Queen of Tears’ is penned by Park Ji-Eun who has previously written for hit K-dramas like – My Love From The Star (2013), The Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016), and Crash Landing On You (2019).

Because all these dramas have ended on a happy note, the fans are banking on the possibility that writer Ji-eun will not make her latest work ‘Queen of Tears’ an exception.

‘Queen of Tears’ loved on-screen couple

The drama features Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Ji-Won in lead roles. Kim Soo-Hyun stars as Baek Hyeon-woo, the conglomerate Queen’s Group director. Hyeon-woo belongs to the village of Yongdu-ri. He came to the mainland and became successful in his career. He is the pride of his hometown, Yongdu-ri, and people look up to him.

Baek Hyun-Woo is married to Hong Hae-In (played by Kim Ji-won), the family’s daughter that owns and operates Queens Group. Hae-in -is famous amongst the employees for his ice-cold personality and is regarded as the arrogant queen of Queen’s Group.
