RARUS wins ‘Best Global Cuisine Restaurant’ Award

On April 27, 2024, a Hubli-based, 100% vegetarian restaurant, RARUS, received the “Best Global Cuisine Restaurant” award at the Restaurant of the Year Award 2024 held in New Delhi. 

The Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor handed over the award to Vijay Mane, the Co-Founder of RARUS. 

Merit Awards & Market Research, a firm based out of Noida, organizes national-level awards for restaurants in India. 

On receiving this national award, Vijay Mane, Co-Founder of RARUS, expressed great satisfaction with the team’s efforts over the last three years. He said, “RARUS was born to beat the boredom of eating the same or similar food in restaurants. With my Co-Founders, Prasad Patil, Shravan Kemtur and Prakash Baddi, I spent nearly one year in research & development to conceptualize an offbeat restaurant.

“Our objective was clear from the beginning: that our restaurant should be able to serve dishes that are typically unavailable in any other restaurant in the city. That’s why our venture was named RARUS, which means ‘Rare’ in Latin. Ask our guests what they think of RARUS, and a quick, firm reply comes, RARUS is different.”

Customer satisfaction index is 99.5%

In less than 16 months since RARUS was started, they have served thousands of guests. Vijay Mane further stated, “Our customer satisfaction index is 99.5%+, and the customer repeat ratio is the highest in the industry. Our core competence is in our ability to craft and curate offbeat dishes regularly that stand out from the other restaurants and leave guests enchanted. 

Today, in Hubli-Dharwad, there are only two types of people: either they love RARUS or have never visited RARUS. Our relentless focus on the 360-degree customer experience has yielded multiple rewards. Recently, we received an investment from a marquee investor from Bangalore. On the other hand, we have numerous proposals for setting up RARUS in different cities. And now this national award further validates our work.”

RARUS Vision

On the long-term goal of RARUS, Vijay Mane shared that “Our vision is to be the most admired restaurant in the cities of our presence. We aim to have RARUS in at least 50 cities in the coming years. We are now ready to start our next outlet. Hopefully, we will announce the same in the coming months.” 

RARUS is located in Dollars Colony, off Gokul Road. They operate on all days from 12 noon till 11:00 PM.
