KAYAMKULAM – Rishiraj Singh IPS, the glorified Excise Commissioner in Kerala known for his daring acts, has conducted raids on the Toddy shops in and around Kayamkulam.
The officer conducted unexpected raids first on the 11th number toddy outlet, and visits in other shops soon followed it. Singh made this decision after attending the anti-narcotic seminar in the town.
Earlier, Rishiraj Singh has received umpteen numbers of complaints regarding the illicit spirit supply in the area, and these raids are the repercussions of the public plea.
It should be noted that Rishiraj Singh is a very acceptable figure among the state police department, and he has already publicized his personal telephone number so that people can contact him to pass information regarding various crimes.
Illicit liquor and Gutka sized in raids:
In the raid, the Excise squad failed to find any kinds of illicit substances.
After taking charge, this IPS officer has conducted end number of attacks which resulted in the seizing of illicit liquor and banned substances like Pan Parag and Hans.
In Kerala, pan masala substances are being banned for the past three years, but many people used to sell it secretly by taking huge margins after smuggling it from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Illegal Marijuana found:
Last week, his officers caught 50 kilograms of Marijuana from Idukki, and it was soon followed by the seizer of Pan Masala worth Rs. 40,0000.
