BCCI has opened applications and cricket fans can now apply for the post of head coach of Team India. Netizens shared their funny thoughts about X.
Although famous cricket figures like VVS Laxman and Anil Kumble are candidates, fans of the sport now have the opportunity to apply for a position in the major men’s team. Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had listed the vacancies for candidates applying for head coaching positions across the country.
Netizens reactions on Google forms
Netizens shared their thoughts on X. “The selection process will include a thorough review of applications followed by personal interview and evaluation of the nominated candidates,” BCCI said in a statement.
NDTV reported, Fans are demanding the head coaching post of Team India media. A cricket team that managed to achieve success despite the conditions and form.
A user took to X and shared a screenshot of his job application submission. He wrote, “Submitted my application, cannot wait to coach team India.”
Another added, “Hopefully under my expert coaching and guidance, India lifts the 2027 World Cup in South Africa.”
Dravid career as India captain
BCCI secretary Jay Shah had earlier announced that Rahul Dravid’s career as India captain will end. Dravid will coach India in the upcoming T20 World Cup and will then have to reapply for the job. Ravid will take over the senior men’s basketball team in 2021.
