Pune Horror: 17-Year-Old Drives Porsche Into Bike, Two Killed – Public Thrash Driver

Two lives were cut short when a luxury Porsche Taycan, driven by a minor, collided with a motorcycle in Pune’s bustling Kalyani Nagar. The accident occurred at the ungodly hour of 3:15 am on Sunday, leaving the city in shock.

The victims, identified as Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Costa, were returning home with friends after a night of revelry at a local club. Their motorcycles bore the weight of laughter and camaraderie, unaware of the impending tragedy.

Vedant Agarwal, a mere 17 years old, was at the wheel of the Porsche. The powerful machine hurtled down the road, its speed unchecked. At the Kalyani Nagar junction, fate intervened. The Porsche rammed into the motorcycle, propelling Anish and Ashwini into the night sky. Their bodies collided with another car before plummeting to the ground.

The impact was fatal. Anish and Ashwini lost their lives on the spot, leaving behind a void that can never be filled. The Porsche, too, met its end, crashing into the pavement and coming to an abrupt halt.

According to reports, a group of friends who had been attending a party at a restaurant in Kalyani Nagar were making their way home on their motorbikes. However, upon reaching the Kalyani Nagar junction, tragedy struck as the speeding luxury car collided with one of the motorcycles.

Consequently, the two riders on the two-wheeler succumbed to their injuries on the spot, as detailed in the First Information Report (FIR). The FIR further elucidated that following the collision with the motorcycle, the car careened into the roadside pavement railings.

The video circulating on social media depicted a group of individuals confronting and assaulting the driver as he attempted to exit the crashed vehicle. Following the collision, the bystanders intercepted him as he tried to escape, subjecting him to physical violence before turning him over to the police. The deceased individuals have been identified as Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, as per the FIR documentation. 

Subsequently, a case has been filed against the car driver at the Yerawada police station, citing various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 304A (causing death by negligent driving), 337 (causing hurt by an act endangering life or personal safety), and 338 (causing grievous hurt by an act endangering life), along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act
