The trend of people dancing in local train, metro platforms and other public places has increased in recent years. Despite online criticism and repeated warnings from authorities, content creators don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon.

Recently, a video of a girl dancing to a Bhojpuri song on a local train running between Mumbai and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) surfaced online, sparking outrage. @mumbaimatterz posted X’s video and tagged GRP Mumbai, DRM Mumbai and Ministry of Railways, asking them to stop these activities.

”Passengers can never travel in Peace inside #MumbaiLocals, Hawkers Beggars & now Reel makers. It’s high time @grpmumbai @drmmumbaicr @RailMinIndia put an END to this Nuisance,” the video was captioned.

In the video, the woman is seen dancing provocatively, disturbing other passengers in the general and women’s compartments of Mumbai city trains and on the platform of CMST station. Many people criticize her and say that her behavior is not good for other travelers. They labeled her dancing “obscene” and deemed it inappropriate behavior on public transport. Some asked the authorities to take strict action against her.

One user wrote, ”I think this is the only girl doing nuisance everywhere. She was also detained one and let go with a warning. She should now be arrested and thrown out of Mumbai.

A third said, ”This happens bcoz there is no fear of law & no mandate for action. It is wrong to perform dance in such an obscene manner in public places. Railway authorities should take legal action on the above matter & passengers should also intervene in this matter as responsible citizens.
