The last and seventh phases of voting have been finished for Lok Sabha (lower house) elections in India and the results are going to be announced on June 4, 2024, starting at 8:00 AM onwards. Whereas the exit polls have been showing a clear and sweeping victory for the BJP and their alliance (NDA).

The counting of the votes will start at 8 am (IST) on the 4th of June 2024. The results will be live on various media outlets along with their YouTube channels, whereas the Election Commission of India will also be updating the results live on their website which is eci.gov.in and it will be the most accurate one among the above-mentioned options for those who are wishing to watch it live.

What are the key areas in Maharashtra?

First of all the exit polls in Maharashtra are showing a competitive clash between BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and the INDIA bloc. There are a total of 48 seats in Maharashtra and the exit polls indicate that around 15 to 20 seats will be having a tough fight between both sides and that’s why Maharashtra is considered to be the toughest state in this Lok Sabha elections.

What do Exit polls suggest about Rajasthan?  

The BJP-led NDA alliance is expected to sweep the election in Rajasthan as the exit polls suggest and the INDIA bloc is expected to win around 7 to 8 seats whereas the BJP can win 18 or more. The NDA will be getting the full majority in the state for the clear third time in the Lok Sabha elections.

Exit polls on Karnataka

In Karnataka, the BJP could take a hit of 2/3 seats but it won’t affect their result as they could be hovering around 20 to 23 seats out of 28 and this also shows how the people of Karnataka approach the assembly and national election differently.
