Ind vs Zim 1st T20
Zimbabwe stunned a second-string India side in the opening T20I, playing on a difficult pitch for batting.
On a turning track, Zimbabwe accumulated 115/9 from their 20 overs, a winning score as their bowlers strangled India into submission after taking four powerplay wickets.
Despite fielding a solid team, India’s inexperience playing T20I cricket on a bowler-friendly surface cost them in the first match.
Chasing 116, the tourists were reduced to 47/6 and eventually bowled out for just 102.
Team news
India might make a few changes after the surprise loss in the first T20. But one thing is sure: the Zimbabwe team is different from before. It has the fighting spirit and willingness to win a match from the jaws of defeat.
In the last three T20Is, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal will join the Indian squad.
