During the fifth and final T20I match against Zimbabwe, Indian vice-captain Sanju Samson showcased his power-hitting prowess by launching a colossal 110-meter six.
Facing Zimbabwean spinner Brandon Mavuta, Samson sent the ball soaring straight down the ground, over the stadium roof, and out of the park.
The jaw-dropping shot left fans in awe and the video quickly went viral. Samson’s innings was crucial for India’s victory. He scored a 45-ball 58, anchoring the innings alongside Riyan Parag. Their 65-run partnership for the fourth wicket helped India recover after losing their top three batters in the powerplay.
The wicketkeeper-batsman’s mammoth six was the match’s highlight, leaving spectators amazed at the distance the ball traveled. India eventually secured a convincing 42-run win, clinching the series 4-1.
Fast-bowler Mukesh Kumar played a pivotal role, picking career-best figures of 4-22. His early breakthroughs with the new ball set the tone for India’s defense of 168 runs.
