Bangladesh Cricket Tour of Pakistan Doubtful Amidst Turmoil

Bangladesh tour of Pakistan looks doubtful amid political turmoil

The upcoming two-Test series between Bangladesh and Pakistan, scheduled to begin on August 21 in Rawalpindi, is facing uncertainty due to the ongoing civil unrest in Bangladesh.

As a result, the Bangladesh senior men’s team may find it challenging to travel for the series. The matches were originally planned to take place in Rawalpindi (August 21-25) and Karachi (August 30-September 3).

However, given the current circumstances, the feasibility of holding these matches remains uncertain.

According to a PCB source, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has offered to fly out the Bangladesh Test side to Rawalpindi promptly to ensure the series proceeds.

India Today quoted the source as saying, “The PCB has even offered to host their players for the extra days and provide them with all the training facilities in Rawalpindi ahead of the Test matches, but they have not responded as yet,” he said.
