Adios Amigo: A Malayalam Family Drama That Will Send You Into Fits of Laughter

“Thaanara,” a Malayalam family comedy-drama directed by Haridas and starring Shine Tom Chacko and Vishnu Unnikrishnan in prominent roles, will be released on August 9, 2024.

The screenplay is crafted by Raffi and produced by Biju V Mathai. Suja Mathai co-produced it. Gopi Sundar provides music to the film, which is complemented by Vishnu Narayana’s cinematography and V Saajan’s editing expertise.

The film offers a mix of humor and meaningful moments based on family dynamics and relationships against a setting enriched by its exceptional cast and creative team.

Delay in release

However, the film is now set to open on August 23. Although the makers have not indicated why the release was delayed, it is appropriate to conclude that it was due to the tragedy of the Wayanad landslides.

The film’s trailer teases both the central characters and the storyline. The teaser promises some of the film’s funniest scenes. This two-minute and five-second trailer depicts the humorous incidents that occurred in the life of two married young men when Sradha (portrayed by Deepti Sati) came. Aju Varghese plays James Bond, a police officer, in the film.

Plot

The plot follows the story of Anjali, the daughter of a former home minister. However, she is in an unhappy marriage with her husband, Adarsh, an MLA from the opposition party. As she distrusts her husband, Anjali decides to secretly monitor his actions with the help of a police officer named James.
