The 76th Prime Time Emmy Awards 2024 took place and the winners for Best Actor-Actress and Best Movie have been announced. Names such as “Shogun” and “The Bear” dominated Sunday’s event in Los Angeles.
Jeremy Allen White received the Best Actor award for Comedy Series. Anna Sawai won the Best Actress award for Drama Series. Actor Hiroyuki Sanada from the same series won Best Actor.
These were the second Emmy Awards in the same year, following the postponement of last year’s ceremony due to the simultaneous Hollywood strikes.

“Shogun” made history by becoming the first ever non-English language series to win Emmy Awards for best drama.

Both Sanada and Sawai were the first Japanese actors to win their respective awards.

“Baby Reindeer”, the tremendously popular but problematic British TV drama, likewise dominated the Emmy Awards, collecting four prizes.
