The Hindi version, however, recorded a lower overall occupancy rate of 18.37%, reflecting a more tepid response in the North Indian market.

Breaking the ‘Rajamouli Jinx’

‘Devara: Part 1’ has broken what fans call the ‘Rajamouli Jinx,’ becoming Jr NTR’s biggest solo opener. Before this, his highest solo opener was ‘Aravindha Sametha,’ which earned ₹58 crore globally on its first day.

The story revolves around Devara, a fearless protector of the seas, who embarks on a dangerous mission to safeguard his people. However, his trusted ally, Bhaira, betrays him for personal gain.

The plot also explores the strained relationship between Devara and his son, Varadha. While Devara is revered for his bravery, Varadha resents him, believing his father abandoned their family. As Devara’s journey unfolds, his legacy is passed on to Varadha, who must navigate the challenges left behind by his father.
